National Merit, National Achievement, and National Hispanic Scholarships
Amount: $2,000 per year for up to 8 undergraduate semesters. Total Value $8000.
Eligibility: Scholars must be designated as finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (National Merit or National Achievement) or the College Board (National Hispanic) and, for National Merit, officially designate TCU as their first choice. The level of the award will be based on SAT and/or ACT scores, GPA, rank in class, strength of curriculum and the level of competition in the current pool of scholarship candidates. This scholarship may be awarded in addition to another TCU scholarship if the total amount of institutional merit scholarship does not exceed the cost of tuition at TCU.
TCU Academic Achievement Award

Eligibility: This award is for freshmen TCU students who were at the top of their class at the end of the Spring semester and were not awarded an academic scholarship upon entering the University.
Bob Bolen Leadership Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: The Bob Bolen Leadership Scholarship, provided by the generosity of The Sarah & Ross Perot, Jr. Foundation, honors Robert (Bob) Bolen, former Mayor of Fort Worth. The Bob Bolen Leadership Scholarship is open to current college sophomores or juniors who will be juniors and seniors beginning fall 2011. Applicants should exhibit leadership ability and/or potential and a commitment to community service. Current and former military personnel, dependants of current and former military personnel, Eagle Scouts and Gold Scouts are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above and documented financial need as determined through the Office of Scholarships and Student Financial Aid. FAFSA must be received in the Office of Scholarships and Student Financial Aid by May 1.

Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Scholarship (HOBY)
Amount: $1000
Eligibility: Freshmen students, admitted to TCU as a full-time, first time degree-seeking undergraduate student. Eligible students must have participated in the HOBY Leadership Program, demonstrated record of leadership and community service, and not be a recipient of a TCU Academic Scholarship. Scholarship is renewable through four years if student meets Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and maintains full-time enrollment.
Adrienne Miller Perner Scholarship

Special Note: Effective December 2006, the Adrienne Miller Perner Memorial Scholarship has been established at the TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance. Eligible candidates will be females majoring in ballet from families whose parents or grandparents are/were career military personnel. The scholarship shall be based on talent; however, a permitted exception to the talent requirement will be for a recipient who has shown exceptional interest in helping others through community volunteer work or activities. Male candidates can be considered should a female candidate not meet the eligibility criteria. Sandra Brown Excellence in Literacy Scholarship (ELF)
Amount: Full tuition for junior and senior year
Special Note: The Sandra Brown Excellence in Literacy Fiction Scholarship (ELF) was established by Sandra and Michael Brown to provide a full tuition scholarship to a TCU student who demonstrates both academic excellence and significant potential as a fiction writer. The scholarship will be given to a rising junior with 54 credit hours and will provide full tuition for the junior and senior year. To apply-Interested students must be an English or writing major and submit a writing portfolio of 50 to 70 pages. The portfolio must include an example, or examples, of the student's original fiction-either short stories or part of a longer work-and a reflective introduction that discusses the student's writing, goals, and interests. Two letter of recommendation are required. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better and remain active in TCU's literacy culture. Deadline-Portfolios must be submitted in hard copy to the English Department Office, Reed Hall, Room 314. Submission of information is due no later than 5 p.m., November 18, 2011. NAACP Scholarship
Amount: Tuition and fees for up to four years or 136 hours of coursework in a TCU undergraduate degree program. Another NAACP Scholar will be named at the end of four years.
Eligibility: Applicants must be planning to pursue a degree in education and make a 3 year commitment to teach in the FWISD. Further information is available at the Financial Aid Office.
Black Alumni Alliance Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Members, friends and family of the Black Alumni Alliance (BAA) established the BAA Scholarship in 2002. To apply, students will have earned 36 or more credit hours and have a grade point average of at least 2.8. Preference for an award is given to students of African descent. The applicant must submit a 1,000-1,500 word essay on the topic noted on the scholarship application. The student must demonstrate an active record of service to the TCU community by submitting letters of reference from the service project leader about their role. Applications may be obtained in the TCU Financial Aid Office.
The Bermont Family Undergraduate Jewish Student Scholarship
Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Undergraduate sons or daughters of religious leaders of the Jewish faith are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to student applicants who demonstrate financial need as evidenced by the FAFSA. Applications may be obtained in the TCU Financial Aid Office.
Air Force ROTC Scholarship
TCU Air Force ROTC offers four, three and two year scholarships awarded on merit to the most outstanding students who apply. However, automatic scholarships are available for students pursuing foreign language majors, specified engineering majors and nursing. Scholarships can be valued at $3,000 - $25,000 a year depending on the students major. In addition to paying all or part of your tuition the scholarship offers a monthly stipend of $250 to $400 a month, plus $600 a year for books and fees. Further, qualified ROTC Scholarship recipients will be considered by the Financial Aid Office for a Room and Board grant. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for additional information.
Army ROTC Scholarship
TCU Army ROTC offers four, three, and two year full tuition scholarships, awarded strictly on merit to the most outstanding students who apply. In addition to paying all of your tuition, the scholarship offers a stipend between $3000 to $5000 per year plus $1200 a year for books. Qualified ROTC Scholarship recipients who score 1750 or higher on the SAT, 27 on the ACT, or transfer to TCU with a 3.25 GPA, will be considered by the Financial Aid Office for an on campus Room and Board grant up to $10,000, upon recommendation from Army ROTC. Note: Awards cannot be combined with Academic Scholarships. Students will be judged against the applicant pool and meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an award.

The Bryant F. Collins Scholarship in Spanish
Students must be majoring or minoring in Spanish, have an overall GPA of 3.0, and a 3.5 GPA in TCU Spanish courses. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.
Fort Worth Institute for Supply Management Scholarship
The Fort Worth Institute for Supply Management Scholarship is provided by the Institute of Supply Management - Fort Worth, Inc. to provide financial aid based on academic achievement for undergraduate business majors at TCU. Applicants must be a BBA student working toward a major in Supply Chain Management; and be involved in student organizations, voluntary community service, or other extracurricular activities. For recognition of achievement, each recipient must attend the annual Fort Worth ISM meeting held the first Tuesday evening of October. ISM-Fort Worth reserves the right to print scholarship recipient(s) name(s) and picture(s) in publications and on the organization’s website. Scholarship money may be used for tuition, fees, or books. This is a one-year scholarship. Recipients may apply in subsequent years. Applications are available in the TCU financial aid office. Deadline May 1.
Hope Pierce Tartt Scholarship
Preference is given to students who reside in Harrison, Marion, Panola, Gregg, and Upshur counties. Most awards are between $500 and $1,000. Preference is given to students who have established financial eligibility through the FAFSA. In some cases, grants may be made on academic merit. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.
W.W. Ward Nursing Endowment Fund
Must be full-time nursing students and receive recommendation from Dean of Harris College of Nursing. Must not be employed by a non-Harris Methodist Health System affiliated health care organization.. Must maintain 2.5 GPA. Application available in TCU Financial Aid Office. Deadlines are November 15 (for spring semester), March 15 (for summer semester), and July 15 (for fall semester).
Jeld-Wen Foundation Scholarship
The Jeld-Wen Foundation provides a $2,000 scholarship to an incoming full-time freshman at TCU for tuition, fees and books. The recipient must be from an area in which a Jeld-Wen plant is located and must demonstrate financial eligibility through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants must have achieved or shown potential to achieve satisfactory or better academic accomplishments. Applications are available in the TCU Office of Scholarships and Student Financial Aid.
M.D.Anderson Pre-Med Scholarship
Applicants must have completed Chemistry 10103, 10123, 10122 and Biology 10504, 10514 or equivalent, and have a cumulative TCU GPA of at least 3.0 overall and in the sciences. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 per year. Applicants must demonstrate service to TCU, fellow students and the profession. Evidence of health-related experience and motivation toward a career as a doctor or dentist is also required. Applications are available in the TCU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship
Application process is open to students who indicate a career goal that demonstrates service to humanity. Awards range from $500 to $2,000. Applications are available in the TCU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Harriet Tubman Scholarship
Full-tuition scholarship for black graduates of Tarrant County High School who graduate from high school with a minimum grade point average of 2.8 and demonstrate financial eligibility through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Preference is given to applicants who plan to major in banking, business, management, accounting, finance, economics and related fields. Freshman applicants must apply for admission by February 1. Transfers applicants must apply for admission by April 1. The results of the FAFSA, parent and student tax returns and application for the scholarship must be received by May 1.
