TCU will award your Stafford loan eligibility when we receive the FAFSA.
After you accept the offered Stafford loans (in your my.tcu.edu account),
you will be notified when your loan application should be completed online. The
maximum amount of the Stafford loan is determined by the student's grade
level. Subsidized Stafford Loans do not accrue interest until
repayment begins (six months after student stops attending/graduates). Undergraduate Subsidized Stafford loans have a 5.6% fixed simple interest
rate (beginning 7/1/09). All other
Stafford loans have a fixed interest rate of 6.8%. Repayment can be deferred
until the student stops attending/ graduates, or student can choose to make
interest payments on Unsubsidized loans while attending school.
